This VIS image shows a tributary channel that empties into the main Ares Vallis channel. This tributary channel is located east of Ares Vallis. Located in Margaritifer Terra, Ares Vallis is part of a large system of channels that arise from Vallis Marineris and empty into Chryse Planitia.
