Xanthe Montes Channels

Today's VIS image is located in Xanthe Montes, which is the western rim of the giant impact basin called Chryse Planitia. All the outflow channels from Valles Marineris empty into Chryse Planitia. Xanthe Montes contains many channels, several of which are seen in this image. From top to bottom are Vedra Valles [118km/73 miles long], Maumee Valles [390km/242 miles long], and Maja Valles [1515km/941 miles long].
