Today's VIS image shows part of Zephyria Planum. Zephyria Planum is located south of Elysium Planitia. Long term winds have eroded the surface of Zephyria Planum, removing poorly cemented materials over millions of years. The ridge alighnments indicate the direction of the wind, mostly to the northeast/southwest in this region of the planum.
