Today's VIS image shows the eastern flank of Arsia Mons, the southernmost aligned volcano in the Tharsis region. The volcano is 435 kilometres (270 mi) in diameter, and almost 20 kilometres (12 mi) high. Arsia Mons is one of the youngest volcanoes on Mars.
