Tiu Valles

The ancient, catastrophic floods on Mars, whose origins remain a mystery, produced a channeled and scoured landscape like this one which is called Tiu Valles. Wind has also played a more recent role, forming mega-ripples (a dune form) in many of the channel grooves.
