About this image

The solitary windstreak in today's image is located on the volcanic plains of Daedalia Planum. The windstreak appears to represent two different wind directions; the more recent direction and darkest "tail" from winds blowing to the west-southwest; an older direction and barely visible tail from winds blowing to the south-southwest.
