About this image

The faint dark lines located at the top of this VIS image are caused by dust devils. As the dust devil travels along the surface it scours away the loose surface dust, revealing the darker surface beneath. The linear depression in the center of the image is called Oceanidum Fossa - a single graben. These dust devil tracks are located in southern Noachis Terra, southeast of Argyre Planitia.
