Olympica Fossae

About this image

This VIS image of Olympica Fossae shows both linear and sinuous channel forms. The linear depressions are most likely of tectonic origin (faulting); and the sinuous channels were probably formed by liquid flow. The liquid may have been lava, rather than water.
