Orginally released as an Art image (perhaps a guppy tail), this THEMIS VIS image is located in the Meridiani region. The typical layered and lace-like surface texture is readily apparent. Wind is moving sand and dust in the region. This is easiest to see in the depression where sand is accumulating.
